Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 lb breakfast sausage or bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare Crescent Roll Base: Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing any perforations.
- Cook Protein: Brown the sausage or bacon in a skillet, then drain excess grease.
- Layer Ingredients: Spread the cooked protein over the crescent dough, followed by diced vegetables and shredded cheese.
- Prepare Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
- Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
- Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with green onions if desired.
Notes
- Pre-bake the crescent roll base for 5 minutes to prevent sogginess.
- Add your favorite vegetables, like spinach or mushrooms, for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
