Description

A quick and delicious twist on pizza! A pizzadilla combines the crispy texture of a quesadilla with all your favorite pizza toppings. Perfect for a snack, lunch, or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices (or preferred toppings)
  • ¼ cup sliced bell peppers (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for the skillet)
  • Optional: Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Prep the skillet: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Assemble the pizzadilla: Place one tortilla in the skillet. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the surface. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and arrange pepperoni and toppings on top.
  • Add second tortilla: Place the second tortilla over the toppings to sandwich them. Press down gently.
  • Cook: Let the pizzadilla cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until crispy and the cheese melts.
  • Slice & serve: Remove from the skillet, slice into wedges, and garnish with Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, or fresh basil if desired.

Notes

  • You can customize the fillings: use mushrooms, cooked sausage, or any leftover veggies.
  • Use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier alternative.
  • Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
